As of October 30th, 2016, Manufacturing and Technology Centre’s (MTC) ISO 9001:2008 (Quality Management Systems) and ISO 14001:2004 (Environmental Management Systems) Intertek ISO certifications will be extended for another 2 years (MTC obtained official Intertek certification in 2010).
As of August 21st, 2016, MTC is proud to announce we have added a third ISO certification, ISO 13485:2003. ISO 13485:2003 is an internationally agreed standard that sets out the requirements for a quality management system specific to the medical devices industry and is relied upon by Health Canada.
These certifications apply to MTC Whitby’s corporate and operations divisions. The MTC Indiana location continues to maintain compliance with the ISO 9001 & 14001 international quality/environmental systems standard, upon which MTC Whitby’s Quality Management System & Environmental Management System is based.
For the second year in a row, MTC once again sponsored and hosted the MTC Show N’ Shine event, part of the Road Legends Cruisers. Great prizes were made available courtesy of the MTC Factory Outlet while a charity BBQ for Grandview Children’s Centre was also hosted, not to mention there were plenty of good looking cars on-site!
Whitby-Oshawa MPP Christine Elliott presented the medals to the recipients for their dedicated service to their peers, their community and Canada.
The recipients outstanding contributions will be recognized with this Diamond Jubilee Medal, and we are fortunate to have them as members of our community.
The prestigious award has been created to mark the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty’s accession to the throne. MPs and MPPs were invited to nominate candidates from their communities for this national honour.
