    TV Size Service Call Information Cost for Repair**
    Up to 34" Total cost of repair (visit and 1st hour of service) $160.00
    35"- up TV Total cost of repair (visit and 1st hour of service) $220.00
    Projection Total cost of repair (visit and 1st hour of service) $220.00
    All sizes Estimate Refusal Charge $100.00
    **Plus an additional $70/hour after the first hour at the customers location.

    COSTS FOR OUT-OF-AREA SERVICE:
    (>50kms outside of MTC/Whitby)
    A premium cost will be incurred if the mileage is over 50kms at a rate of $1.50/km.


    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    1) If unit has to come back to MTC, the customer will be expected to have the unit at ground level. And the unit will be returned at ground level. In such cases as basements, MTC will be able to lay on transportation at cost incurred.

    2) Upon contacting MTC and arranging a service call appointment, the customer should make sure they know the following information about their TV. This will allow the MTC Call Center Representative to provide them with all the information they'll need:

  • Model of the TV, serial Number,
  • Symptom (Nature of problem w/TV),
  • Accessibility to the TV (whether it's on a wall unit or TV stand and so on),
  • TV may have to be taken to the MTC lab if repair is time consuming.

    3) Additional Information

  • Turn-around time differs from unit to unit, as this depends upon parts
    availability, and how busy MTC is at that time and so on.
  • TV may have to be taken to the MTC lab if repair is time consuming.
